In the official Youtube account of The Try Guys – an American online comedy series – released an emotional, deeply personal video of Eugene Lee Yang’s coming out as gay.
The 33 year old internet star of The Try Guys, Eugene Lee Yang choreographed, directed and written the video of his personal story of sexual discovery from his childhood to the present.
“I created this music video as my personal way of coming out as a proud gay man who has many unheard, specific stories to tell,” Yang wrote on Twitter. “I withheld because of fear and shame shaped by my background but I promise to give my full truth in the rest of my life’s work.”
As Yang explores through the arrangement of the video, changing into different dynamic outfits, the on-screen character tends to various barriers that could obstruct somebody from completely turning out. From a traditionalist childhood to judgmental religious experiences, Yang clarifies why he retained his reality from the world.
The contemporary dance was also a fundraiser for the Trevor Project and ha now gained more than $85, 000.
